Reporting to the Senior Manager, Customer Data & Analytics, this role plays a key part in using data to drive decisions and measurable business outcomes. You will work with large-scale, complex datasets to deliver insights that shape marketing strategies, retail operations, and merchandising initiatives. The role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of analytics, experimentation, and storytelling with data.
Some of what you will do in this role includes:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business questions, processes, and KPIs.
- Formulate testable hypotheses aligned with business objectives and conduct statistical experiments in live environments.
- Write SQL scripts to automate data pipelines and workflows.
- Use Python within a Jupyter Notebook environment for exploratory data analysis, data wrangling, and statistical testing.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations in Power BI to communicate insights and track KPIs.
- Learn and apply cloud-based analytics environments and big data tools to build workflows on large datasets.
- Discover unique and creative insights to identify new opportunities for driving business value.
- Develop deep expertise in the relevant datasets within your analytics domain.
- Support the Data & Analytics team on key projects and cross-functional initiatives.
- A degree in a STEM discipline with 3+ years of relevant experience in data analytics or data science.
- Advanced Python coding skills; experience in additional programming languages is an asset.
- Advanced understanding of SQL.
- Experience applying experimental design principles such as A/B and multivariate testing, including formulating and testing hypotheses with business stakeholders.
- Understanding of advanced analytics and data science methods such as anomaly detection, forecasting, and supervised and unsupervised learning.
- Experience with visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Working knowledge of cloud environments such as Azure, GCP, or AWS. Experience with big data tools such as Spark and Databricks is an asset.
- A confident communicator, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to tell a compelling story through data.
