Executive Chef
MacDonald Search Group has been asked by our food service client to find a first-class Executive Chef to join their team in Williamsburg, ON (in-office). The primary responsibility of this role will be to lead all kitchen operations while delivering high-quality, scratch-made meals and baked goods that drive customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Some of what you will do in this role includes:
  • Develop and execute seasonal menus featuring baked goods, hot meals, and take-out offerings
  • Oversee daily kitchen production including pastries, soups, casseroles, and comfort food items
  • Lead, schedule, and mentor a small kitchen team to ensure consistency and efficiency
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and food costs while minimizing waste
  • Maintain food quality, cleanliness, and compliance with health and safety standards
You should have the following in your background to apply:
  • 3–5+ years of experience in a professional kitchen with strong baking capabilities
  • Proven leadership experience in a small team or independent kitchen environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Passion for scratch cooking, comfort food, and high-quality ingredients
  • Food Handler certification (or willingness to obtain)
