Extrusion Operator
- Location: Vancouver
- Posting Date: May 01, 2026
- Job Order ID: 1056174
- Consultant: Eric Floyd
- Industry: Manufacturing
The Role: Precision in Motion
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you won't just be "watching a machine." You are the pilot of the extrusion process. You’ll take raw designs and blueprints and turn them into high-quality products through expert setup, constant calibration, and sharp troubleshooting.
Your Day-to-Day Impact
- The Setup: Interpret blueprints and diagrams to prep and secure your machinery. You’ll be responsible for setting up and operating one or more lines pushing out precision plastic composites.
- The Switch: Expertly change dies to keep the production flow seamless during line changes.
- The Fix: You’re the first line of defense. You’ll troubleshoot, maintain, and perform minor repairs to keep the gears turning.
- The Standard: Monitor product quality with an eagle eye—if it’s not perfect, it doesn’t ship.
- The Digital Trace: Stay organized by reliably signing in and out of jobs using our client's system.
- The Workspace: Maintain a clean, inventory-ready zone and follow safety protocols like they’re second nature.
- Experience: You’ve spent several years in a manufacturing environment (as an operator, helper, or packer). You know the rhythm of a shop floor.
- Technical Literacy: You can read a blueprint and speak the language of diagrams.
- Dexterity: You’ve got the manual skills and "finger dexterity" to handle delicate adjustments and heavy-duty tool changes alike.
- The Growth Mindset: You’re hungry to learn. Our client's in-house apprenticeship program is a huge perk, and you’re ready to dive in.
- Reliability: You understand the importance of Fire, Emergency, and Safety procedures. You’re the person the team can count on in any situation.
- High School Diploma (or equivalent experience).
- Fluency in English.
- A sharp eye for detail and a "safety-first" brain.
