Location - Terrace, BC
We are seeking a skilled Red Seal Heavy Duty Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain material handling and heavy-duty equipment, skid steers, forklifts, and related equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty and material handling equipment.
- Perform scheduled maintenance, appraisals, and safety inspections.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, engine, and related systems.
- Complete required service reports, timecards, and documentation.
- Perform shop and field/road service as required.
- Communicate repair status and requirements with customers and Supervisors.
- Order and track parts to ensure timely repairs.
- Provide professional, customer-focused service.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Red Seal Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician or Journeyman certification required.
- Experience with forklifts, aerial equipment, or other heavy-duty equipment preferred.
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and computer skills.
- Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics.
- Experience with LPG spark-ignition and diesel compression-ignition engines.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physically capable of lifting, moving, and performing required job duties.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently and as part of a team
