The Operations Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production, high product quality, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end plant operations including production, maintenance, quality
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of supervisors and production staff
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMP)
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
- Monitor and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, and sales teams to align production
- Oversee budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation
- Foster a culture of accountability and safety
- Other as required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
- 5-10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with leadership responsibility and experience with turn around projects
- Experience in food manufacturing or CPG industry required
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with ERP systems and production planning tools
