Territory Salesperson
MacDonald Search Group has been asked by our building materials and hardware client to find a first-class Territory Salesperson to join their team in Ottawa. The primary responsibility of this role will be to grow sales and strengthen relationships with contractors, builders, and distributors within an assigned territory.
Some of what you will do in this role includes:
  • Manage and expand relationships with existing customers while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Conduct regular client visits to understand project needs, promote products, and provide solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations and quotations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.
  • Track territory activity, analyze performance, and report market insights and competitor trends to management.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, customer events, and industry functions.
You should have the following in your background to apply:
  • Proven sales experience, ideally within the door, hardware, or construction supply industry.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and working independently in the field.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and experienced in preparing accurate quotations.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
