MacDonald Search Group is a national permanent placement recruiting firm and we recruit on behalf of hiring companies and facilitate a direct hire of prospective candidate and hiring company.
Our client is a leading national chemical distributor experiencing strong growth who is on the hunt to add an experienced Account Manager to their Ontario sales team.
You will acquire an existing book of business including key accounts to manage and grow within Ontario.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate sales by proactively identifying new opportunities, qualifying inbound leads, and revisiting former customers.
- Establish and maintain business relationships with existing and new clients.
- Achieve or exceed revenue and margin targets assigned by the Director of Sales.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments of prospects and evaluate and identify client’s needs in order to recommend products and services.
- Work cross-functionally to deliver RFPs on time.
- Generate and analyze monthly sales and business reports.
- Prepare and issue price change notifications.
- University education in chemistry, chemical engineering or other relevant field.
- 2+ years sales experience in the chemical industry.
- True hunter sales skill set and strong relationship development skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet tight deadlines.
- High initiative, self-motivated and results oriented.
