Our client is a North American partner and exclusive distributor for a biomedical technology. They are seeking an Account Manager to increase sales by partnering with existing accounts and develop new accounts in Canada and the US for the human, cosmetic, skincare and personal care product applications. This position requires the willingness and ability to assist in all aspects of the sales and project management cycle from initial customer contact to the successful launching of new products. This is a newly created role with opportunity for growth in line with market expansion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop current accounts, acquire and evaluate the potential of new customers.
  • Generate leads and sales calls with decision-makers, qualify sales potential and time to market.
  • Prioritize customers and develop a plan to maximize sales.
  • Assist in developing and implementing pricing strategies and product costing.
  • Assist to ensure successful launch of products including managing, supporting and leading communications with customers, distributors and suppliers.
  • Provide market observations/analysis and assist in the development and implementation of sales strategies.
  • Participate in marketing and advertising activities, including trade shows.
  • Work cross-functionally internally to adapt product solutions to the customers needs.
Key Qualifications:
  • 5+ years key account management in the human, cosmetic, skincare or personal care industries, preferably with high end brands.
  • University Degree in Business, Commerce, Science or related field.
  • Experience partnering with high-end ingredient distributors.
  • Experience in the US market is an asset.
  • Developing retailer private label brands.
