Our client is Canada’s premier Luxury Designer brand with clients including Heads of State, celebrities, and the Royal Family. They are currently seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the wholesale manufacturing and retail operations. Overseeing the financial aspects of the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure that these reports comply with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage the company's budget, as well as assist in forecasting future financial performance.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and control costs related to manufacturing, inventory, and distribution. Analyze cost variances and identify areas for cost reduction or efficiency improvement.
  • Inventory Management: Supervise inventory accounting, which includes tracking and valuing inventory, performing regular audits, and implementing inventory control measures to minimize losses.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to provide insights into the company's performance, profitability, and financial health. Identify trends, key performance indicators (KPIs), and areas for improvement.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations. Prepare and submit tax returns and work with tax advisors to minimize the company's tax liabilities.
Skills & Education
  • Post-secondary degree in accounting, finance or a related field required
  • CPA designation is not required
  • 5+ years of experience in financial management, providing full cycle accounting and preparation of financial statements
  • At least 2 years of experience with managing staff or a team
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Good understanding of accounting systems – strong knowledge of QuickBooks as an asset
  • High level of proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Effective communicator
  • Proven leadership, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing deadlines
Compensation
  • Base Salary $100 - $120 k base
