Accounts Payable Coordinator

Our client is a well-established and growing trading company, that has been in business for over 50 years, with a customer base is the Canadian retail and food service industries. They are looking for an AP Coordinator, reporting to the Controller to join their busy organization in the Vancouver, BC area.

Responsibilities:

Daily
  • Reviewing and posting invoices to accounting system
  • Schedule payments (cheque/wires twice a week)
  • Follow-up on missing payment inquiries
  • Assist in the processing of debit notes
  • Review bank account daily (post daily JEs) and circulate deposit information
Weekly
  • Complete bank reconciliations
  • Schedule payments (cheque/wires twice a week)
Monthly
  • Budget analysis – expenses (actual vs budget)
  • Cost saving projects
  • Assist in the integration of new products/companies

Qualifications:
  • Post secondary education considered an asset
  • 1-3 years of experience in a related role
  • Excellent computer skills – MS Office
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal
