Our client is a leading Canadian licensed producer of high-quality medical and recreational cannabis, and are looking to grow their team in Moncton, New Brunswick.

Currently they are seeking Analytical Scientist’s to join their team! These individuals will possess practical Chemistry experience using modern spectrometry techniques. Responsibilities will include preparing samples for analyses, executing analytical and testing protocols for various new product categories, performing detailed data analysis, reporting findings, and accomplishing projects. Must be comfortable performing duties in a highly regulated environment under strict guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and perform analytical testing experiments in support of product development
  • Develop and validate analytical methodology using a range of analytical instrumentation
  • Perform analysis and collect data pertaining to raw materials, in-process materials, finished products and stability samples
  • Plan, perform, and interpret results of experiments and projects, ensure data quality, and complete report summaries
  • Communicate progress of work to peers and mangers in the form of presentations and reports
  • Apply scientific problem-solving skills and utilize all available resources to proactively implement solutions and adopt industry best practices
  • Work according to QMS system to ensure compliance with external and internal regulatory guidelines

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Analytical Sciences, a B.Sc. or Biotechnology degree
  • 2+ years' practical experience in an R&D environment
  • Experience interpreting results and summarizing results in scientific reports
  • Experience in development and validation of analytical methodology
  • Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Continuous Improvement mindset: ability to troubleshoot issues, foresee problems, and proactively seek solutions
  • Must have aptitude and analytical abilities as it applies to running standardized testing methods
