MacDonald Search Group is proud to partner with our client in the Kelowna area in their search for an Assistant Store Manager to join their team to help provide leadership to 20+ associates in one of their flagship stores.

What you will be doing:

  • Ensuring standard operating procedures are being satisfied by team
  • Demonstrating personal accountability to safety and wellness and promotes a culture where team members do the same
  • Ensuring team members are properly trained and set up to succeed
  • Driving customer engagement by coaching team to greet and proactively communicate with customers to improve their experience
  • Working collaboratively with Store Manager to implement strategies that ensure successful operations
  • Demonstrating support for change and coaching team members through the change process
  • Arranging team member training and coaching team members on established practices and new initiatives
  • Participating in hiring, training and seasonal planning
  • Handling emerging issues and unplanned situations to ensure customer satisfaction and coaching team members to do the same
  • Assisting with managing assets and cash flow in accordance with company standards and expectations
Who you are:
  • Proven experience working in a service/retail environment in a supervisory role
  • Experience with recruitment, supporting career development and driving engagement
  • You have strong analytical and decision making skills
  • You are highly organized
  • You are a leader of people and a strong communicator
  • You are proficient with software
