POSITION: Bilingual Order Management Specialist
LOCATION: Hybrid - 2-3 days in office/week in Brampton, ON

MacDonald Search Group is a national permanent placement recruiting firm and we recruit on behalf of hiring companies - we facilitate a direct hire of the prospective candidate with the hiring company.

Our client is one of North America’s leading distributors of specialty chemicals, ingredients, and raw materials. They are currently seeking a Bilingual Order Management Specialist to add to their customer service department comprised of 30 employees.

The ideal candidate is experienced in order entry and relationship management in either a distribution or manufacturing environment in a business-to-business capacity. Also, experience in a high volume customer service environment and with JD Edwards will be an asset.

BILINGUALISM in French/English is a mandatory requirement for this position.
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (no evenings or weekends).
  • Training: new employees will be required to work in the office 5-days a week for their first 3 months for training.
  • Location: after the first 3 months, the role will become hybrid meaning 2-3 days in the office and 2-3 days working remote.
  • Accurately and efficiently process customer orders (Warehouse/Direct)
  • Proactively reach out to customers for orders and up-sell when possible
  • Acknowledge all customer complaints, ensure that an appropriate resolution is initiated, and involve the appropriate personnel when needed
  • Investigate inventory issues, delivery issues, and pricing discrepancies
  • Work with A/R to resolve credit issues and assist with new customer credit requests
  • Retrieve data and information from internal systems to fulfill customer requirements
  • Generate and request required documents for international shipments
  • Monitor future and back-order reports – sales order management
  • Send order confirmation and payment details to the customer
  • Appropriately process product returns
  • Prioritize, communicate and effectively execute all rush orders
  • Attend all pertinent training sessions and department meetings
