The Bookkeeping Supervisor will have the exciting opportunity to oversee a number of bookkeeping clients for Canada’s largest restaurant consulting company.

  • Problem Solving: Analyzes problems by gathering and organizing all information. Identifies cause and effect relationships
  • Communication: Expressing ideas effectively, organizes and delivers information appropriately while listening actively
  • Proactive Planning: Plans and organizes tasks and work responsibilities to achieve objectives. Sets priorities, schedules activities and allocates resources appropriately
Accounting Supervisor Key Roles:
  • Manage a pod of approximately 6-10 bookkeepers and approximately 50 restaurant clients
  • Reviews financial statements for accuracy
  • Trains and supports the bookkeeping team in proper financial process, financial reporting, and year-end process
  • Organizes and develops new processes and procedures to maximize efficiency of the department
  • Manages and implements training process for new hires
  • Helps to implement bookkeeping tech integrations and tools
  • Spearheads new hire initiatives and interviewing process for new bookkeepers
  • Onboard new bookkeeping clients
  • Exert care and control over assets and records; establish procedures for safeguarding, including security and computer backup
Skills & Education
  • Post-secondary degree in accounting, finance or a related field required
  • CPA designation is not required
  • 5+ years of experience in financial management, providing full cycle accounting and preparation of financial statements
  • At least 2 years of experience with managing staff or a team
  • Good understanding of accounting systems – strong knowledge of Quickbooks as an asset
Base Salary $80,000 - $90,000 Bonus, 4 weeks vacation, Benefits
