Our client operates out of a 60,000-sf integrated office, warehouse, and manufacturing facility and has been in business for over 40 years. They work with customers to provide complete process and water/wastewater treatment solutions for a variety of industrial and municipal applications. To help facilitate growth in the coming years, they are adding Business Development Manager to the team.
The Role: Business Development Manager

Our client has enjoyed double-digit revenue growth over the past several years. They have recently increased production capabilities and are constantly adding new technologies to their portfolio of water and wastewater treatment solutions. They are targeting further accelerated growth across North America over the next several years.

They are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to become a key member of the sales team. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth for their water and wastewater treatment capital equipment in various industrial markets.

Responsibilities
  • Develop & maintain relationships with industrial end-users, EPC, & other industrial market participants.
  • Develop & implement commercial strategies & business plans to drive revenue growth for various industrial markets.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process for industrial markets from business development to project award, including collaborating with our engineering, project management, production, supply chain, and executive teams.
  • Work collaboratively with technical and engineering teams on new product development, piloting, and R&D projects.
  • Travel across North America, as required, to visit project sites, client or vendor facilities & tradeshows.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years experience selling water and wastewater treatment capital equipment in the industrial sector (CAD$5 million annual sales or higher). Experience in the oil & gas, mining, and other heavy industrial sectors would be an asset.
  • Solid technical understanding of all major water and wastewater treatment processes.
  • Knowledge of the various industry participants including business drivers, procurement/engineering cycles, and organizational models.
  • Strong existing relationships with industrial end-users, EPC’s, and other industrial market participants.
  • Hands-on, entrepreneurial approach with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • A degree in Engineering or Chemistry would be an advantage.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with MS Office Suite and leading CRM software packages.

  • Excellent Base Salary and uncapped variable compensation
