An opportunity exists for a self-motivated and energetic sales professional to join their team as a Business Development Manager. Specific duties include developing relationships and interacting with, influencing, and building relationships with Archictecs, Designers and Developers. This position is key to growing the business for there Alusion™ product division which services the Architectural industry. In this newly created technical sales role, you will promote and create pull-through demand using their complete product offering to increase the value proposition to end-users resulting in driving revenues and increasing our market share.
Alusion products are being marketed and sold directly or through a network of worldwide agents to architectural firms for use in a range of projects. Based on its aesthetic value, Alusion™ specifications include facades, interior walls, and many other endless surface solutions. Other product attributes for architectural applications include positive acoustic properties and blast mitigated wall panels.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

You will target the Architecture & Design community, growing our Alusion products and provide solutions focusing on growing the sales and business worldwide. Your main focus will be Architects, Designers, Engineers, Owners, Developers and façade fabricators and installers. Most Alusion™ clients are based in North America and Europe.
You are a great influencer and can easily develop long term relationships with new and some existing clients. You’re ahead of the sales curve, remaining current on industry trends and competitive products, and can identify new and exciting selling tools to drive sales. You’re a strong people person and will participate in industry related functions to showcase our products and maximize networking opportunities with industry representatives.

What you will need
  • Degree in Engineering, Business, Architectural or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of sales experience, in steel, aluminium, aesthetic, environmental or structural façades
  • Industry sales or marketing experience associated with structural façades, wall, ceiling or flooring cladding
  • Strong Communication skills - verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work with and influence a variety of indirect and direct accounts
  • Be a self-motivator and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Able to work at building a business - small scale to larger scale build up
  • Ability to think strategically and problem solve with an entrepreneurial commitment to achieving goals
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to execute on business plans
  • A collaborator with both customer and internal cross-functional teams
  • Customer-centric with the ability to balance both customer benefits and business financials effectively
  • 20% travel
