“Whether you are launching your brand on a small scale or nationally, they have packaging solutions catered to your business.” Founded in 2018, this Canadian packaging company provides the globe with their needs for aluminum cans, paper bags, corrugated packaging and reusable bags.

The Business Development Manager is an experienced business development professional who will drive the success of our kraft, corrugate and cardboard packaging segment along with other extensions of our sustainable packaging business portfolio by leading new sales acquisitions from the beginning of the client life cycle, handling existing client retention, building relationships with global brands, co-packing facilities, restaurant chains, grocery banners, retail outlets, and other brick-and-mortar establishments.

Your primary responsibilities are:

  • Identify potential clients, their needs, and their decision-makers
  • Attend face-to-face meetings with clients
  • Be flexible to travel to clients’ facilities to build/maintain the relationship and to understand their operations
  • Maintain existing client relationships to grow and identify other opportunities to help client procurement of packaging materials
  • Seek opportunities with local partners including co-packers, manufacturing partners, breweries, distilleries, etc.
  • Occasionally coordinate the set-up, attendance, and facilitation of trade shows to network with potential clients

Qualifications & Education:

  • Degree in Business or Marketing or a combination of relevant and comparable work experience
  • A minimum of five years of experience in Business Development, Sales, and Marketing
  • Preference for an individual who has had experience in the packaging sector and have previously worked within the corrugate/cardboard packaging manufacturers or printers

  • A team player who adds complementary skills and contributes valuable ideas, opinions, and feedback to help the business grow
  • Demonstrated success in launching and maintaining a successful brand portfolio
  • Experience in sales and business development with a confirmed history of meeting and exceeding sales or business growth targets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Independent self-starter, who becomes comfortable with minimal oversight and supervision
