Business Systems Analyst

Our established, Lower Mainland based client provides industrial automation solutions for their clients.

Reporting to the President, this role will be responsible for reviewing business processes in order to gain a complete understanding of current procedures, identify improvements, document those processes and connect business people to existing information technology groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop and communicate the work-plan to all stakeholders
  • Coordinate and facilitate the work plan
  • Design changes to processes and communicate to stakeholders
  • Ensure all projects are on track and achieving planned outcomes, where there are delays/risks raising them to the President in a timely manner.
  • Prepare User Guides, Administration Guides, Technical Notes for customer systems.
  • Performs feasibility analysis, scopes projects, and works with the project management team to prioritizes deliverables, and negotiate on product functionalities.
  • Supervise the implementation process and communicate any change orders
  • Supervise UAT (user acceptance testing) and FAT (Functional Acceptance Testing)
  • Other as required

Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Computing Science
  • Experience in Access, Excel, Visio, and MS Project
  • SQL Server 2005/2008 knowledge – T-SQL, Tables, Views with experience in writing SQL queries
  • Experience working as a Functional, Data or Business Analyst
  • Ability to learn an understand the business of clients (domain knowledge)
  • Need to understand the different technical tools available to meet clients needs
  • Project Management/need to manage project implementations
