Our client is a Canadian owned distributor and leader in their industry. With decades worth of experience, they strive to ensure providing quality products and exceptional service are their top priorities for their customers. They are looking to add a Buyer with Inventory Management experience to their organization, to support the needs of their national operations in the Lower Mainland, BC.

Responsibilities:
  • Issuing purchase orders to vendors – including follow up, costing and tracking of orders
  • Inventory planning and weekly analysis for re-order and low/out of stock review
  • Support the department with analysis of purchasing processes and inventory management – such as with Slow Moving and Obsolete, Discontinued Stock, New Product Introductions
  • Work with Sales / data to develop forecast, demand plan and analyze trends
  • Support product launch responsibilities around inventory and procurement

Qualifications:
  • Degree or Diploma in Operations, Supply Chain or Procurement
  • SCMP/PMAC and/or APICS would be an asset
  • 1-2 years Inventory Planning experience
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • MS Office knowledge – Excel
