ABOUT THE ROLE
Responsibilities include supervision, financial and promotion performance of all Roadways sales employees for a defined geographic territory. Oversee direct and distribution sales for the territory. Develop and implement Area business plans that encompass annual corporate initiatives for new products/applications introductions, promotion & specification development and distribution performance goals. Manage expenses not to exceed budget for the Area. Other responsibilities include price/margin management and recruiting and developing field personnel.

SOME OF WHAT YOU’LL DO IN THIS ROLE INCLUDES:
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring, and developing training programs that compliments and grows each specific functional team.
  • Develop an annual strategic growth plan that will support the annual financial assumptions for the Area.
  • Develop annual goals and performance measurements for each distributor in the Area. Review these on a quarterly basis to assure compliance.
  • Responsible for weekly team forecast accuracy and key lead generation activities.
  • Develop a monthly report that recaps the quarter financial results, promotional activities, key project attained or specified, competitive activity and the next quarter outlook for the Area.
  • Collaborate with directors / VPs of allied business units to ensure goals and objectives are aligned company-wide.

YOU SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING IN YOUR BACKGROUND TO APPLY:
Education/Qualifications:
  • B.S. in Engineering, Marketing or Business.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of distribution and business management experience within the construction products industry. Preferable experience will include Marketing and selling engineered solutions.
  • Five to ten years of proven sales management experience Experience in selling value added engineered solutions
