Our Lower Mainland based client has been in the business of delighting their clients for over 40 years. With fine food products sold at North America’s best retailers, food service distributors and industrial manufacturers the company is nimble and positioned for tremendous growth both domestically and internationally.

The Channel Account Director is a senior role with complex and sophisticated accounts. In this role you will report to the Director of Sales and be responsible for developing long-term relationships with clients.

This role will appeal to a confident, driven professional with a strong track record of driving profitable top and bottom line growth at the account, distributor and broker levels. You are a specialist in customer needs assessment, new customer acquisition and product commercialization. You have a consultative leadership style, deep project management skills, and the diverse business understanding required to bring products from ideation to commercialization. Your strong numeracy skills and financial acumen allow you to undertake in- depth comparative analysis of various cost and pricing scenarios to meet organizational profit targets. The successful candidate will never settle for “good enough” and strives to be better every day.

Some of what you will do in this role includes:
  • Managing existing accounts and facilitate their growth
  • Management of the distributor and broker network
  • Work collaboratively with customers driving strong plans that meet objectives
  • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to Sales Management
  • Forecast and track key account metrics including retail distribution
  • Develop strategies for profit and pricing proposals, understand consumer and industry trends and critical success factors for effective product launches
  • Drive positive relationships with all key accounts, developing a keen understanding of their needs and representing their views internally
  • penetration plans to achieve category objectives for assigned portfolio

  • Ability to travel 30% in Canada and the US with a valid Drivers License
