CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST


Our client is a global leader in power tool manufacturing across a variety of differing categories. The Construction category is based in the US however they are looking for a Construction Equipment Specialist for Western Canada. A great opportunity to join a world leader and a represent a great brand.

This person is responsible for generating profitable sales within the Surface Preparation channel through maintenance of existing customers, development of new distribution and direct sales accounts and growing market share. This position is critical for driving national growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Achieve monthly sales forecast by completing regular and effective sales calls to all Surface Preparation customers.
  • Introduce of the full equipment line to both potential and existing customers.
  • Test equipment and diamond tools to both potential and existing customers.
  • Responsible for market awareness regarding competitors in their territory.
  • Create strategies to gain market share.
  • Continuously develop CFS skills.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers as needed.
  • Nurture relationships as business partners with both internal and external customers.
  • Monitor consistence of diamond tool and equipment performance.
  • Address customer issues in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for CRM Usage
  • Keep all paperwork current and up-to-date including expense reports, car stock reconciliation
  • Communicate with various internal departments as necessary.
  • Self-reliance and self-management
  • Use professional selling skills to gain customers and takes initiative to provide all customers with plans and goals
  • Has clear vision of the future of the territory and has plans on how the goal will be achieved.
  • Respond quickly and work at faster pace than normal, while getting results

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of and effective use of Customer Focused Selling Skills (CFS) and Call Reporting Management System (CRM)
  • Product and market knowledge
  • Overnight travel 60-75% of the time.
  • Work entirely on the road or from home office
  • Regularly visit clients/prospects at job sites.
