THE OPPORTUNITY
As the new COO and GM, you will have a unique opportunity to build on a solid foundation while strategically moving Antigonish Farmers’ Mutual to the next level of growth and profitability. As a strategic visionary, you embody the values that transcend the ‘Mutual System’ and are comfortable questioning the status quo as well as empowering change. You make decisions rooted in facts and thorough analysis and empower those around you to take initiative.
You nurture and maintain an open and transparent relationship with the Board of Directors by providing frequent and timely reports on strategic, operational, and insurance policy matter impacting the organization and, by extension, the policyholders. Finally, you have a passion to make a difference within your community and want to be part of something bigger.

COMPANY BACKGROUND
Antigonish Farmers’ Mutual Insurance Company offers property and liability insurance for homes, mini homes, seasonal residences, farm operations, and fishing boats and equipment. We are also able to provide automobile insurance through our wholly owned subsidiary, Farmers’ Mutual Insurance Agency. With agents located throughout Nova Scotia, you can count on us to fulfill your insurance needs in the following counties: Antigonish, Guysborough, Pictou, Colchester, Cumberland, Hants, Halifax, Inverness, Victoria, Richmond, and Cape Breton

COMPENSATION
Compensation will be commensurate with background and experience and will include a base salary, variable performance incentives, and benefits.
