The Credit Agent will provide a review of accounts and collections of overdue accounts, while ensuring all the Company’s credit policies and procedures are adhered to.

What you will be doing:
  • Providing a review of accounts and collections of overdue accounts while ensuring all the company's credit policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Organizing and maintaining accurate records of all accounts
  • Contacting account customers for payment of overdue accounts
  • Analyzing customer behavior, responses and activity patterns, and problem solving accordingly to facilitate the collection process.
  • Researching account disputes and billing discrepancies
  • Performing account reconciliations
  • Functioning within the company's credit policies and procedures
  • Assisting with the ongoing development of the department
Who you are:
  • You have a minimum of three (3) years Accounts Receivable or Credit and Collections experience
  • Construction industry or wholesale credit experience would be a definite asset
  • A college diploma in business or finance, or several years of experience in the banking industry, with an understanding of accounting principles would be an asset
  • Enrollment in the Credit Institute would be an asset
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills, with a pleasant telephone manner
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Professional and courteous manner with proven negotiation skills
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency using MS Word
