Position Summary:

The National Multi Unit Sales Director position provides strategic leadership and direction to the Canadian Multi Unit Account Management group by assessing opportunities and risks, developing key customer relationships, and initiating account strategies that build loyalty and satisfaction with our customers. Leads and Influences Multi Unit Sales relationships in excess of $1 billion. Oversight and leadership includes Hotel Segment, QSR and Casual Dining customers, leads through influence with Customer Care, GR Support teams.

Essential Functions:

  • Creates product and service strategies that add value to the account relationship, promoting a shared vision of business opportunities, selling those ideas to senior leadership (internal & external) and motivating/managing the account management team in their execution.
  • Conducts strategic review of customer base to expand value and relationships to protect current business and leverage future profitable growth opportunities. Creates and coordinates corrective actions to adhere to the contractual agreement between GFS and the customer.
  • Establishes quality standards for account management team activities and reviews Key Performance Indicators such as quality measurements, customer profitability, margin management, protocols and policies, and changes or enhances as necessary.
  • Facilitates communication, cooperation, and teamwork between the Account Management team and other operational departments and management teams, partnering to ensure continuous improvement of the customer experience.
  • Oversees appropriate aspects of planning and resource utilization for designated areas of responsibility and assists in the development of operational budgets, goals and targets.
  • Serves as point of escalation for the Account Manager on issues of service breakdown or operational concern; acts as a liaison to the divisional leadership teams to ensure efficient, effective resolution; provides proactive consultation related to service opportunities.
  • Creates and performs, or oversees strategic business reviews with Executive level Leadership within accounts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor Degree Business Administration, Marketing, Sales - Preferred.
Work Experience:
  • Ten years previous process or sales segment management or broad-based customer facing experience at a senior level.
  • Five years previous leadership experience of a high performance team.
