Our client is looking for a Director of Retail Sales based in the GTA. Reporting into the GM, you will be home office based responsible for managing the sales and operating profit objectives for a retail business in Canada. You are part of the leadership team with 4 direct reports and own the volume, profit, and trade budget plans to ensure the companies strategies are achieved This is an exciting fast-paced sales opportunity in the HABA (Health And Beauty Aids) industry for a qualified individual that has relentless passion, thorough follow-up and great sales ability to drive results.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Achieve annual sales and operating profit objectives for the retail business in Canada
  • Provide leadership and coaching to your team and support the leadership team
  • Forecast National Category shipments, analyze market data and trends nationally, leading to developing & execution of promotions
  • Manage P&L and trade spend budgets at the national level
  • Timely reviews (internal & external) of account issues/opportunities & development of solutions to ensure targets are delivered
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • University degree, ideally in Business, Commerce, or related field
  • A results-oriented CPG Professional, ideally in HABA (Health and Beauty Aids) with proven sales success
  • Min 15+ years of experience in progressive management roles. .
  • Effective Communication – comfortable dealing and communicating with the customer and internal teams at varying levels of management
  • Possess solid business skills – understanding of P&Ls and inputs, ACNielsen market data tools and retailer portals
  • Time Management (Prioritize customers deadlines vs. Internal deadlines) & strong computer software skills
