POSITION: Director of Field Services, HVAC

MacDonald Search Group is a national permanent placement recruiting firm and we recruit on behalf of hiring companies.

Our client is a growing HVAC solutions provider for residential, commercial, and industrial applications and they are on the hunt for a National Service Manager to help build a national field service organization.

This leader will own service strategy, field operations, and technical standards while supporting a growing customer base across Canada.

Reporting to executive leadership, this role plays a key part in defining scalable service delivery and standardized controls frameworks and will enable someone to truly make their mark in a growing organization with cutting edge technology!

Responsibilities:
  • Build and lead a national field service team including recruitment and training
  • Develop scalable service strategy, KPIs, and operating processes
  • Oversee dispatch, scheduling, inventory, and field execution
  • Standardize controls strategy across systems and support technical troubleshooting
  • Lead commissioning, serviceability improvements, and escalation support
  • Partner with engineering, sales, and operations to improve product/service outcomes
Qualifications:
  • 5-10 years in field service leadership in the industrial sector is mandatory
  • Post-secondary education related to Engineering, Building Automation, Business, or a related technical field is preferred
  • Strong technical background in controls systems and building automation
  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer management skills
  • Exceptional customer-centric mindset and problem-solving skills
  • Strong business acumen, including P&L awareness and resource optimization
Compensation:
  • Base salary plus bonus - total compensation in the 120-150K range
  • Monthly car allowance
