This role will report to the CEO and will require a strong capability to work independently. A high level strategic focus will be balanced with a "roll up your sleeves" hands-on day to day component. You will act as a Business Partner to the leadership and management teams and be the "go-to" person for front line employees located in multiple Canadian and international offices.

What you will be doing...
  • Ensuring consistent processes and the sharing of best practices with sister companies across the organization
  • Recognizing top performers and ensuring they have a clear long term career plan with the organization, conducting performance/salary reviews and organizing training and development initiatives
  • Contributing to the development of company culture through employee engagement activities, giving back to the community, incentive programs, social activities and other actions that will enhance the company's reputation as an employer of choice.
  • Researching compensation and benefits standards to ensure total rewards strategies are industry leading and designed to recruit and retain great people
  • Development and implementation of change management strategies
  • Establishing an "open-door" policy that ensures employees know their concerns are being heard and dealt with appropriately
  • Other project based activities as assigned
Who you are...
  • You have a degree in HR or an otherwise relevant area of focus and have or are working toward your CPHR certification
  • You have at least three years of HR Manager level experience - ideally in a similar industry
  • You are a relationship builder and a great communicator and are always looking for ways to improve and enhance policies and procedures
  • You have experience using an HRIS platform
  • You work well independently and have an ability to think critically and strategically
