Director of Marketing and Advertising – Mobile Gaming

Our client is an established and well funded game developer seeking an experienced Director of Marketing and Advertising to lead the strategy and oversee the execution of the marketing and advertising for their products. You will manage a small team as well as the external marketing partners. Your team will create demand for the games and ensure the in-game communication experience deepens user engagement. The right candidate for this role loves bold and big ideas, can draw from a variety of experiences in mobile app marketing, analytics and optimization and is not scared to try things never done before. This position can be based in Vancouver or Kelowna.

Some of what you will do in this role includes:
  • Leadership and management of everything related to marketing and advertising
  • Management of all budgeting and financial processes
  • Ideation for soft launch, global launch and ongoing marketing strategies
  • Increase engagement and retention through effective use of data
  • Oversee all creative strategy
  • Improve performance of the products through effective use of data for improvement
  • Work cross-functionally with the other business units and integrated project teams
  • Work with Managing Director to assist in bringing on board new partners
  • Provide quarterly goal setting and ongoing feedback to the product teams
In order to apply, you should have the following in your background:
  • Strategic marketing and advertising experience on a mobile game or application with +1MM monthly Active Users.
  • 2+ Years People Leadership Experience
  • Experience developing and executing mobile CRM programs
  • Experience working directly with mobile CRM tools such as DeltaDNA
  • Experience in developing and execution of UA programs with budgets of over $1m a month
  • Experience and understanding of UA attribution tools such as Appsflyer
  • Experience running SQL queries and developing dashboards in tools like Tableau/PowerBI
  • Relationships and experience with Facebook, IronSource, Unity, and other mobile video ad networks
  • Programmatic media buying experience is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of mobile devices and games preferred
  • Experience in creating new systems and processes to increase efficiencies and effectiveness
