Director of Marketing QSR Canada

Our client is A Canadian QSR organization operating in over 140 locations coast to coast. We are seeking a seasoned Marketer to oversee the entire Marketing function for the Brand. The successful candidate possesses the following skills and attributes.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development, and execution of marketing plans, promotions
plans and tactics that result in same store sales increases
  • Work with Agency partners to define the details and align with
the Ops (and finance team if necessary) team to ensure in-store
effectiveness
  • Manage Period program and other in-store communication –
development of period sell sheets and communication materials
relevant to promotions
  • Compile post promotion analytics to assess success and deliver
key learnings
  • Lead 3rd party communication (e.g. Vendor partner for prizing and brand
visibility)
  • Define, and implement national or regional Staff incentives.
  • Complete and communicate post incentive analysis and learnings
  • Update any POS (cash register) system and menu board pricing
and graphics nationally or regionally as needed
  • Provide strategic input into creative development of media (Radio,
TV, digital etc.) and photography requirements
  • Manage and lead social media and website marketing initiatives to deepen
Guest relationships
  • Provide direction and insights to the digital agency team on social
media strategy and tactics
  • Develop in conjunction with the digital agency team weekly posts
and online content and contests to drive engagement and increase
our Fan base
  • Be highly reactive to topical/local events and use our social media
forums to profile the Brand in advantageous way
  • Plan and manage all regional and national Email blasts in conjunction with the digital agency
  • Manage regular website updates including store locations,
nutritional data, promotional profiles and online coupons
  • Create and implement all of the Direct Mail offers, paper based and digital
Assess market impact and customer participation. Realign
regionally to ensure there is strong redemption and ROI
  • Develop the strategy to move more coupons and an online
format
  • Point of sale update Align with promotions – ensure POS and TV materials are provided in a timely manner and posted to support period
promotions
  • Actively assemble data for brand - menu mix, sales shifts, regional
promotional data
  • Enhance and maintain business knowledge including emerging trends and competitive campaigns through learning and development opportunities
  • Gift Card –Support at store level to gain awareness and improve off take.
  • Manage inventory of cards and sleeves
  • Manage the development of all promotional items and programs
to enhance sales
  • Media – brief in annual media campaigns to align with the overall brand strategy
  • Budget – monthly reconciliation of charges and tracking of budget versus
  • Assist Local Store Marketing teams with materials and period information
as needed
Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Business, Marketing or related
field
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the Quick Service and retail food service industry
  • Strong written, communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent understanding of marketing, promotions and product strategy
  • Experience in developing and managing social media networking initiatives
