The Director of Operations is a hands-on leader of the Management Team. With an eye for detail, the Director of Operations is totally responsible for all day-to-day operations, including bringing the company’s strong values to life through all touchpoints, running profitable restaurants known for exceptional quality, service, and cleanliness, the hiring, training, evaluation, and growth of the best management talent, ensuring meticulous facilities and compliance with all safety, labour, and sanitation regulations. Through consistent execution of these duties, the Director of Operations will aggressively grow both the company’s same-store sales and a number of units.

Qualifications & Skills
  • 5+ years experience in a multi-unit leadership role
  • 5+ years experience in the restaurant industry
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on, 24/7 environment
  • Proven track record of developing and mentoring others
  • College or University degree
  • Technically competent in all aspects of restaurant operating systems
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to manage P&Ls, establish restaurant budgets, and ensure achievement of the company’s P&L targets
Responsibilities & Duties
  • Growing EBITA by increasing Same Store Sales, managing labour, cost of goods, and other store-level expenses
  • Translating the business strategy into day-to-day execution to deliver exceptional quality, service, and cleanliness. Providing direction and focus with each
  • Ensuring a quality start-up and opening for all New Restaurant Growth through training of new management and team members
  • Ensuring all company programs, practices, policies, procedures, and systems are implemented and executed properly, within agreed-upon budgets and timelines
  • Ultimately responsible for the resolution of all client complaints
  • Reviewing all quality audits and follow through on action plans
  • Recruiting and hiring General Managers and Managers
  • Ultimately responsible for the recruitment and selection process to ensure all restaurants are fully staffed with G.R.E.A.T. team members
  • Ensuring all Team Members are trained to deliver exceptional Quality, Service and Cleanliness through 1st class initial and ongoing training
  • Developing the best management talent through our Manager Career Roadmap
  • Creating and maintaining a positive work climate that promotes best-in-class tenure and governing oneself according to our family’s strong values
