Director of Sales, Craft Beer

Our client is one of BC's fastest growing craft breweries and is looking for an experienced Director of Sales to lead their fantastic sales team.

The ideal candidate will work effectively both in a team and independently, will possess a positive attitude, and demonstrate extensive experience in packaged goods sales and sales management, preferably in the alcohol industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Managing sales team and maintaining growth in all markets across Canada
  • Manage key accounts and enterprise-level partnerships on both national and provincial levels
  • Setting and monitoring performance targets and assisting sales reps in developing partnerships in trade
  • Coordinating individual sales territory growth based on company directives
  • Providing data-driven assessments of the sales team’s productivity and growth
  • Coordinate with the Board of Directors and Marketing Manager to ensure sales team has the required tools for success
  • Communicate with Production Manager to sustain weekly and monthly production schedules
  • Coordinate with warehouse on large scale deliveries and product orders
  • Work collaboratively with the Marketing Manager to design retail and on-premise promotions and budgets
Qualifications:
  • Must possess at least 3 years Sales Management experience, preferably in the alcohol industry
  • An understanding of the craft beer industry and Canadian provincial liquor boards is an asset
  • Post-secondary education, preferably commerce/business
  • Must have superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must have a strong work ethic and exceptional problem solving skills within a team
