District Sales Manager

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the District Sales Manager is responsible for determining the territory potential for existing customers, competitor accounts and new business in Vancouver. This Sales Leadership role sets territory and individual goals for overall sales, product line sales and account profitability based on market research and directions set in the Company’s strategic plan towards the achievement of established sales and profit goals. Some travel is required.

Some of what you will do in this role includes:
  • The District Sales Manager is responsible for leading, developing, mentoring and managing a team of Sales Representatives
  • Assisting Sales Representatives with contract negotiations, pricing and developing customer relationships
  • Financial management of the territory including factors such as cost, profitability, pricing and the creation of the sales operating budget
  • Implementing best practices that translate into improved customer service and results.
  • Providing leadership and coaching to staff, employee development, modeling the company values, providing flawless service to our customers, and maintaining exceptional employee relations
  • Participating in food shows, sales meetings and sales promotions.
  • Excellence in sales and a strong customer service focus
  • Management skills and experience in leading the team

In order to apply, you should have most of the following in your background:

  • 5+ years of senior experience in food-related sales
  • Proven leadership skills, with a strong focus on coaching and development
  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Strong analytical skills and presentation skills

  • Computer literate (Google)
  • Food Service industry and product knowledge a must
