Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

We’re working with an oil & gas services client to find an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to join their Calgary team. Reporting to the Manager of Engineering, you’ll lead electrical, instrumentation, and control system design across multiple projects — supporting everything from concept to commissioning.
What You’ll Do:
  • Design and specify low-voltage electrical and instrumentation equipment for hazardous area applications.
  • Develop PLC control systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and related documentation.
  • Prepare and review drawings, datasheets, and material requisitions.
  • Participate in HAZOP and SIL studies, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Provide technical support to internal teams and clients throughout all project stages.
Who You Are:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years’ experience in design, manufacturing, or EPC environments.
  • Registered with APEGA as a P.Eng.
  • Strong knowledge of CSA, NEC, IEC, ATEX, and OH&S standards.
