MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

One of Canada’s leading foodservice providers is growing again and today they are looking to add to their distribution team. Reporting to the leadership team, the Building Maintenance Supervisor is responsible to oversee the maintenance and facility operation of the Distribution Centre. The Supervisor is responsible to provide and implement solutions for full building maintenance, repairs and maintenance of equipment and machinery. As included will be to procure new equipment through established corporate processes, procure spare parts and consumables as needed. This role will require you to work with 3rd party service providers as applicable. The Building Maintenance Technician will assist in overseeing the startup of the new DC before assuming the oversight of its facility operation.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for Regulatory Compliance of the facility,
  • Source, research, implement contractor service agreements for equipment.
  • Implement equipment preventative maintenance program
  • Hands-on support with maintenance technicians as required
  • Manage, coach, and develop the maintenance team
  • Cross- functional responsibilities to support and execute requests
  • Fully accountable for the safe and efficient operation.
  • Responsible for developing, implementing and training all Maintenance and Facilities employees.
  • Prepare department budget.
  • Working relationship with outside contractors.
Requirements:
  • Certified electrician, or refrigeration mechanic, or building automation and controls technician
  • Millwright certificate and/ or an electrical license
  • Certified Engineering Technologist designate would be preferred
  • Experience with maintenance of Material Handling Equipment
  • Previous Supervisor/Team Lead experience is considered an asset
