Our client is a small but growing hospitality group in Langley, BC who have recently opened an upscale casual cafe, taproom and bistro concept. They are currently seeking a General Manager that will be responsible for the overall food & beverage program execution as they embark on their inaugural year of operations.

As the Restaurant General Manager you will have the opportunity to join an established and respected brand, lead and manage all aspects of the restaurant operations and lay the foundations for a new community social hub. This role offers a competitive base salary (85-100k target), bonus program, and benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the café, taproom and bistro ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery and service model transitions
  • Create and implement strategies to achieve financial targets including revenue generation and cost control measures
  • Develop and manage daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual business plans, budgets and forecasts
  • Maintain a high level of guest satisfaction by consistently delivering exceptional service experiences
  • Train, motivate and supervise a diverse team of restaurant staff including waitstaff bartenders kitchen staff and support personnel.
  • Foster a positive work environment by addressing staff concerns, providing performance feedback and implementing effective HR policies
  • Implement and maintain health safety and sanitation practices to meet and exceed industry standards

Key Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Restaurant General Manager or similar role in a fast-paced multi-concept establishment
  • Proven track record of successfully driving revenue growth and achieving financial targets
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a diverse workforce
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations service standards and the ability to uphold high-quality standards consistently
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with staff customers and vendors
  • Sound financial acumen to develop budgets analyze financial reports and implement cost control measures.
  • Working knowledge of health safety and sanitation regulations.
