This is a unique opportunity with a privately held global manufacturer that has a rich history of nearly 100 years. Our client has a stand-alone HR Manager (People, Learning, Culture) position within Canada and is an integral part of the leadership team. The PLC Manager will be responsible for providing leadership, direction & support within the people management functions that underpin the business culture.   • Develops solutions that are effectively aligned and integrated between organizational objectives and the overall PLC strategic direction ensuring they are fit for purpose for the short, medium, and long term needs of the company.
  • Create structure through best-in-class processes within policy and program development designed to support the full team member life cycle: recruiting, onboarding, training & development, performance management, promotion, and succession.
  • Take responsibility for the training and orientation of all new team members.
  • Being the company’s culture and brand ambassador for both external and internal purposes.
  • Gaining influence, trust, and credibility within the organization to build collaborative relationships between management and employees.
  • Minimum 5+ years of HR experience, ideally generalist in nature – you’ve touched everything at least once.
  • Education - Completion of a recognized Human Resources certificate or related diploma. A University degree along with CHRP is an asset.
  • A true people leader with demonstrated success.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage change in a growth-oriented environment.
  • Been part of a leadership team with many functional heads – finance, marketing, sales, operations as an example.
