We are seeking a Human Resources Policy Advisor based out of Edmonton. The Human Resources Policy Advisor is responsible for the review, development, implementation, and evaluation of policies in alignment with company strategies and priorities. Reporting to the VP, People & Culture, this role requires an individual to lead critical analyses of relevant information to inform strategic advice and options on policy initiatives that support the organization's strategic direction.

> Provides expertise, comprehensive and timely analysis, strategic advice, and recommendations to senior
leadership to support legislative compliance.
> Conducts research and provides advice and recommendations on various policy issues and opportunities
relevant to PCL.
> Develops policy proposals and recommendations based on evidence, best practices, and stakeholder
> Oversees the implementation of policies and evaluates the effectiveness and impact of existing and new
> Writes clear and concise policy documents, such as reports, briefs, memos, and presentations.
> Collaborates with internal and external partners to ensure alignment and coordination of policy
objectives and actions.
> Analyzes implications of options, in terms of opportunities, risks, costs and benefits of policy options,
including implementation and delivery mechanisms
> Drives a coordinated and integrated approach to policy development processes, ensuring effective
alignment with operational and strategic level priorities and best practices.

> A bachelor's degree or higher in public policy, communications, social sciences, humanities, or a related
> At least three years of experience with progressively more complex policy development and creation,
preferably in a private organization
> Experience working with multiple stakeholder groups and negotiating the complexity of the different
interests, perspectives, and objectives.
> Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
> Ability to work with a wide range of staff and stakeholders, manage expectations, and build effective
relationships to move initiatives forward.
> Proven experience reading and interpreting legislation.
> Ability to anticipate, assess and readily adapt to changing priorities, maintain resiliency and effectively
work in a changing environment.
> Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences
and formats.
> Knowledge of and interest in the policy issues and priorities of the construction industry.
