This is a tremendous opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner to make a significant contribution to the success of a highly respected global brand by enhancing their ability to attract, develop and retain exceptional people. Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, the HRBP will provide support to Canadian manufacturing and warehouse operations as well as partner with the global HR team to implement programs and processes to develop a high-performance team culture and drive operational excellence. This position will work from state-of-the-art operations in Acheson, AB as well as from their Canadian head office in Edmonton, AB.

- Execute recruitment and sourcing strategies to meet the hiring needs of operations for both hourly and salaried professional positions.
- Facilitation of training, education, employee communications and culture building initiatives.
- Support a consistent, one-team unified approach demonstrated through delivery of global HR principles, practices, and policies.
- Provide performance management guidance to management/employees (coaching and mentoring, career development, feedback, disciplinary actions, crisis relations).
- Understand legal requirements at execution level related to management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Displays sound judgement with respect to escalating employee relations challenges HR Manager.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years’ experience with HR generalist / business partner responsibilities in a non-union environment.
- Ability to consistently exhibit high levels of discretion, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Ability to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways and comfortable working in grey.
- Strong relationship building and change management skillset with operational business partners and other key company stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams as a supporting team member.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment to meet business needs.
- Ability to apply the appropriate laws, guidelines, and policies.
- Proven ability to work independently, take initiative and work to plan.
- Action oriented and proven track record delivering results.
