HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATER

The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator will be responsible for HR administrative duties with recruitment, maintaining employee records, and facilitating occupational health and safety. This role will also assist with payroll processing, be a benefit liaison and provide administrative support to employees.

Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations
  • Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs
  • Ensure legal compliance with regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as required
  • Prepare paperwork, schedule, and facilitate smooth new hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience
  • Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  • Assist in organizing quarterly and annual employee performance reviews
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace
  • Assists with the monitoring of the company wage and salary structure and the variable pay systems within the company including bonuses and raises.
  • Assists with the company-wide committees including the wellness, training, environmental health and safety, activity, and culture and communications committees.
  • Assist offsite payroll with completion and accuracy of payroll processing
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or HR Certification an asset; or 2-5 years relevant work experience in an HR capacity
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
  • Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems, and comfortable learning new systems as needed
  • Strong detail-oriented and resourceful mindset
