MacDonald Search Group is a national permanent placement recruiting firm and we recruit on behalf of hiring companies.
We are recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing distributor of industrial products based in Oakville who is on the hunt for an Inside Sales Manager to manage a team of 4 ISRs.
The objective of the inside sales team is to conduct outbound sales activity to maximize share of pocket of existing customers both in terms of product and service offerings.
The ideal candidate has direct sales and previous people management experience along with the following key skills:
- Strategic thinking/planning - i.e. be able to help determine what the margins are, what prices should be raised to etc.
- Leadership/coaching/mentoring - someone who is happy to work onsite, invest in the teams development, and someone who can roll up their sleeves and gets involved in dialing campaigns/activity
- Analytical i.e. ability to take a more mathematical approach to determine recipe of success - ability to put processes and systems in place and implement metrics and scorecards
- Capability of hitting targets in a high volume environment
- Proactive, organized and a self-starter - someone who understands the bigger picture, can look at data and put a process in place to realize goals without handholding
- Ability to put an outbound sales activity plan together and hold the team accountable - someone who can create recipe for this/generate that success formula
- Strong relationship development skills
- Base salary plus commission
- 3 weeks vacation
