Our client is a world-class automation control solutions provider, looking for an Intermediate Controls Designer. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, a successful candidate will be capable of undertaking the following responsibilities.

  • Review all available materials related to assigned projects (proposals, specifications, emails, etc.).
  • Discuss the desired project design “approach/philosophy” with all stakeholders.
  • Interpret and create drawings, technical manuals, specifications, and regulations.
  • Create/modify P&IDs, electrical schematics, panel layouts, and instrument location drawings.
  • Create/modify single-line diagrams, loop drawings, communication drawings, and control room layouts as needed.
  • Create/modify instrumentation lists, IO lists, cable lists, and IP address lists.
  • Release project packages to production for assembly.
  • Learn ISO/standards as they apply to your position.
  • Suggest and implement cost-saving opportunities.
  • 5 years of experience as a controls engineer.

Required: Proficiency with EPlan Electric P8/Pro Panel.
Location - SW Ontario.
