Inventory Planning Manager

Our client is a consumer goods distributor in the Lower Mainland, BC area and they are looking for an experience Demand / Inventory Planning professional to join their team

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee demand planning for various products within a distribution environment
  • Manage inventory levels
  • Lead Daily planning, procurement and cost reconciliation strategies
  • Responsible for direct demand planning of product produced at multiple facilities.
  • Works closely with the marketing, production, sales and customer service departments on all projects involving sales forecasting
  • Continuous improvement of processes and practices within the demand planning and purchasing functions
  • Oversee inventory management strategies in line with business growth strategies.
  • Interact with logistics to balance costs, lead times and utilization
  • Drive efficiencies by looking at current processes and determine methods for improvement
  • Initiate & lead supply prioritization discussions during capacity constrained periods
  • Communicate priorities and fill orders based on the collaborative direction
  • Other duties as required
Requirements
  • Post Secondary education in a related field
  • 5+ years in a Demand Planning role - ideally in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical skills in MS Excel
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with cross functional groups across many departments
  • People management experience - considered an asset
