Our client is one of Canada's leading suppliers of high-quality natural products. Offering primarily fresh, clinically proven herbal remedies along with hair care, essential oils and food products. The company is growing rapidly and is looking to fill the role of Key Account Manager. Reporting to the National Sales Director, the Key Account Manager is responsible to manage and maximize sales, profits and distribution within an assigned group of key retailers.

This role is based from a home office and offers a base salary, commission, bonus, medical benefits, RRSP matching, vacation, sick days and phone.

Education: Degree/diploma in business, marketing and/or related field preferred.

Experience:
  • 3–5 years of Key Account Management experience (ideally working with Loblaws, SDM, Costco, Sobeys).
  • Experience in developing and executing sales & marketing strategies and plans.
  • Achieving sales goals within trade budget and a strong understanding of measuring ROI.
  • Ability to work cross functionally with Sales, Finance, Customer Care, Marketing and Distribution.
  • Ability to quickly gather market and competitive intelligence and share with internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

The Key Account Manager is expected to support growth through management of all sales fundamentals (Distribution, Display, Shelf, Pricing, Promotions) against annual business priorities.
  • Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.
  • Manage day to day relationships with key accounts and internal communication needs.
  • Grow the total net sales and meet the annual revenue and profit goals.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and relevant market intelligence; establish volume plans.
  • Invest in trade funds effectively to efficiently drive incremental consumption.
  • Lead business reviews to accurately report overall performance to accounts and sales management.
Skills:
  • Strong negotiator, influencer and takes initiative in all aspects of the sales process.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to distill complex data into simple KPIs.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, and well-developed presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills – Written and Verbal.
