Our client is a leading distributor of beverage alcohol in North America, and proud to be a multi-generational, family-owned company.

They are currently seeking a Key Account Manager to drive growth of their full portfolio within the LRS channel in British Columbia. This role owns the customer relationship, is responsible for implementing suppliers strategies regionally, and for maximizing the volume and profit mix by customer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop high level customer relationships that will drive measurable results
  • Work with Key Customers to bring new brands to market
  • Coordinate between various departments to ensure commercial drivers are achieved
  • Attend on-site promotional functions at established customer accounts (e.g., winemaker dinners, product launches, and tastings)
  • Consistently monitor and deliver the volume and financial goals for suppliers
  • Responsible for tracking the regional budgets
  • Manage the communication between our suppliers and key customers
  • Work with external stakeholders to ensure inventory levels are sufficient to meet consumer demand
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five years of sales experience in consumer goods industry, ideally in beverage alcohol industry
  • Comprehensive understanding of wine and spirits
  • Ability to adapt and can assist a variety of internal customer groups and varying personality types
  • Strong negotiation skills & an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to create and sell innovative ideas
  • Goal-oriented focused, and assertive individual who needs a little direction or supervision
  • Ability to work flexible hours which include early morning evenings, and weekends
