Key Account Manager -Walmart


Reporting to the National Account Manager, the Key Account Manager – Walmart, will be responsible for developing a category sales strategy in conjunction with Marketing and other Sales teams, execute sales plans that are aligned with our client's business strategy and meet or exceed budgeted sales and profit targets.

Responsibilities:
  • Influence growth and manage the specified key account (Walmart) through a fact-based selling and decision-making process
  • Achieve sales objectives as per the annual plan
  • Develop and execute an annual plan specific to Walmart and ensuring that it is on strategy with our company sales & marketing plans
  • Provide candid feedback and recommendations on account issues to internal stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with the Field Sales team to effectively communicate Walmart initiatives
  • Maximize account potential by leveraging marketing initiatives (new products, P.O.S., category reviews, etc.) within the category and specified key accounts
  • Manage and monitor customer trade spend, to fully maximize effectiveness and efficiency
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education
  • Several years experience in Consumer Packaged Goods industry with 2 or more years of Walmart account management experience
  • An strong understanding of Category Management
  • Proven track record of success in account management with a focus on fact-based, analytical selling
  • Proficiency in Retail Link
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Computer proficiency with Cognos, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Self-starter with an ability to work independently and as a team member
