POSITION: Key Account Manager, Food Manufacturers

MacDonald Search Group is a national permanent placement recruiting firm and we recruit on behalf of hiring companies.

Our client is a leading manufacturer of food ingredients who is on the hunt for an Account Manager to manage their existing relationships with food manufacturers and distributors. You will acquire existing valued accounts and will be responsible for managing and growing these B2B relationships and finding new ways to enhance the customer experience.

MUST HAVE experience selling to/managing food manufacturers and distributors.

This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days per week in the office plus some occasional travel across Canada.

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships and identify new business opportunities within these accounts
  • Deliver profit, net revenue, and volume targets for assigned accounts
  • Build account plans and volume/revenue forecasts
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts
  • Manage commodity contracts
  • University degree, ideally in Business, Commerce, or related field
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience selling to food manufacturers and distributors
  • Proven ability to influence at the Buyer level
  • Strong account and relationship management skills
  • Effective communication and strong presentation skills – comfortable dealing and communicating with the customer and internal teams at varying levels of management
  • Engaging, driven and dynamic personality
  • Strong computer software skills
