Key Account Manager - Southern Alberta

Our client is a world leader in the deployment of therapeutic interventions to enhance the care of animal health, welfare and performance. With the ongoing return to work, our client is seeking to hire a Key Account Manager for Southern Alberta. Your primary customers will be key decision makers and influencers at accounts including ranchers, Veterinarians, feed channel partners, nutritionists and other practitioners.

This role is based from your home anywhere in Southern Alberta and will spend approximately 80% of your time in-field meeting with clients in the region at their place of operation. Some travel out of territory will be required on an annual basis for sales meetings, training and incentive trips etc.

The salary, bonus and benefits package is into the six figures, with a terrific work culture, and excellent, long term management team.

Some of what you will do in this role includes:
  • Establishing productive relationships with key stakeholders at cattle ranches throughout southern Alberta
  • Liaising with veterinarians and animal health professionals in the field and at clinics throughout your territory
  • Delivering sales results for a selection of industry leading animal health interventions
  • Becoming a trusted technical resource to your community of industry professionals
You should have the following in your background to apply:
  • BSc or other post secondary training
  • Animal health or equivalent work experience
  • Successful sales experience in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with external colleagues in a sales and advisory capacity
  • Exemplary team and individual work ethics
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong business acumen and negotiation skills
  • Results driven attitude
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • An animal agriculture background and a good understanding of Feedlot production
