Key Account Manager - Natural and Organic Food Products

As the Key Account Manager for Western Canadian accounts, your primary objective is to drive product distribution, sales and visibility in a specific group of West Coast National and chain accounts including:
  • Save On Foods
  • London Drugs
  • Urban Fare
  • Whole Foods
  • Thrifty’s
  • Safeway
The product assortment consists of a series of branded natural and organic products.

Success in this role looks like:
  • Introduce and maintain sales to your client base, increasing listings, shelf presence and secondary display
  • Plan and hit sales targets
  • Manages the four P's of marketing with your banners
  • Liaise with field sales to ensure the execution of account plans
  • Ensure customer and consumer delight through first class service
  • Work cross functionally across the organization to get the best for your banners while respecting the business plan
  • Ensure profitable sales programming
  • Report on all metrics and use data to inform plans and decisions
  • Represent the brand professionally and with passion in the trade
  • Record all activities in CRM
  • Analyzes the territory/market’s potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers value to the organization
  • Plans and organizes personal sales strategy to maximize time management within their key accounts
  • Drives the annual business planning process for their key accounts and regional programs
  • Allocates resources where the investment has the greatest ROI and/or with strategically important customers
  • Maintains the national account budget, ensuring appropriate allocations for all existing national account customers/agreements
In order to apply, you should have most of the following in your background:
  • Post Secondary Education
  • 5+ years dealing with West Coast Retail Banners
  • Proven ability to develop key account plans and meet or exceed expectations against them
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to turn analysis into effective strategies and plans
  • Strong time management skills, good organization and ability to handle administrative requirements
  • Strong presentation skills in the boardroom or in front of the customer
  • Strong abilities in MS Office
