Key Account Representative - Toronto

Our client is seeking a Key Account Representative to grow their sales in Eastern Canada. In this newly created role, you will be managing their new broker/distributor relationship and managing the regional based accounts. In this hybrid role, the successful candidate with help train and manage the store level execution by the DSD distributors and sales brokers being in the trade 2-3 days/week and managing the head offices 2 days/week.

This fact based selling role will see you open new business through effective targeting, probing and presentations. You will provide consistent customer service, analytical rigour in category management and will you will close listing gaps with sales programs that drive traffic and consumption.

You should have the following in your background to apply:
  • Excel in getting New Business and growing existing relationships with the regional retailers
  • Exceed sales budgets and volume targets.
  • Negotiate deals acceptable to the company and effectively resolve problems on the regional account base.
  • Prepare weekly activity reports including opportunities, appointment information and other required information and report to management on a weekly basis.
You should have the following in your background to apply:
  • Experience in grocery or CPG sales. Regional Account experience is an asset
  • Solid understanding of the Retail landscape; sales industry, customer knowledge & enjoy field sales
  • University degree or equivalent, French is an asset
  • Excellent teamwork and strong interpersonal skills
  • Clean(ish) drivers abstract
